The Mettler Center’s weight loss programs are
different. There are no diets, supplements, or set menus to follow. Instead,
you’ll focus on learning new behavioral skills and reshaping your attitude
toward eating and exercise. You’ll eat foods that fit your lifestyle and
budget, and you’ll find an exercise routine that you can continue for
the rest of your life. The long-term goal of our programs is to empower you,
giving you the ability to build healthy habits so you can continue to reach
and maintain your healthy weight long after the program has ended. We want you
to learn the skills once so you never have to go on another diet again. This
requires a lifestyle adjustment and a lifetime commitment. The Mettler Weight
Loss Programs provide the structure, guidance and information to make this happen.
Jump Start
Eight week program for the person
who wants to learn to eat better and exercise consistently. The accountability
and motivation of Jump Start have made this program a winning weight loss combination.
Participant meets twice weekly with their personal trainer for goal setting,
food log review, personal training and motivation. Set goals, be accountable,
and get a Jump Start on your health and fitness plans. Participants receive
a free membership during course of program.

Healthy
Lifestyle Program (HLP)
Eat Better. Be Active. These are goals
for most people. Yet few of us actually reach these goals. It's not that we
don't know what to do. More often, the reason we do not succeed with weight
loss is that we lack the tools for success and the strategies to change the
behaviors that caused us to gain weight.
Mettler's eight week Healthy Lifestyle
Program addresses the actual cause of weight gain. These innovative sessions
combine personal training, lifestyle coaching, and nutrition education in a
hands-on format for effective learning. HLP participants practice the behaviors
that are essential for long-term success. By changing behaviors one week at
a time, through realistic goal setting and lots of assistance from both a personal
trainer and a lifestyle coach, you'll lose weight. And continue losing it after
the program is over. Unlike a diet, your time won't be spent following some
strict food plan. It will be spent practicing healthy behaviors such as reading
the educational materials provided, walking every day, and shopping for the
right foods at the grocery store. Each week participants set weekly goals, may
create their own healthy foods in our cooking schools and communicate regularly
with their coach between scheduled appointments. Participants also receive a
free membership during the course of the program.
Whether you have five pounds or 100
pounds to lose, this course provides both the educational and motivational foundation
to reach your goals. State of the art behavior change strategies are taught
while participants make small weekly changes in diet and exercise habits. This
eight week program combines bi-weekly group meetings, bi-weekly personal training
and lifestyle coaching, and bi-weekly phone coaching for improved health status
and long term weight loss. This course is taught by a staff of lifestyle coaches.
Weekly personal training is done by certified personal trainers. Free membership
during the course of the program.

The LEARN
Program for Obesity Management
The Mettler Center recognizes that
some weight problems go beyond a person's level of activity and eating habits.
Our LEARN Program is designed for that person who may never otherwise set foot
into a fitness center. It is about support. It
is about hope. It is about success from every angle. The program utilizes
the twenty-five years of research and clinical experience represented in the
LEARN Program (Lifestyle, Exercise,
Attitudes, Relationships, and Nutrition).
This 12-week one-on-one program focuses on every area that affects your ability
to lose weight safely and permanently. LEARN includes weekly individual sessions
with a Registered Dietitian, weekly personal training sessions, and a free membership
during the program.

Nutri-Coach
Is exercise and eating right a priority,
yet you just can’t stay on track? Nutri-Coach offers a hands on practical
approach to changing unhealthy behaviors in to healthy, permanent habits. Learn
to plan healthy weekly menus, create grocery lists, fit exercise in to your
lifestyle and most of all, find the motivation to stick with your plan. Work
with our most experienced Lifestyle staff to change your weekly plan for a lifestyle
of better health. Packages of 30 minute or 60 minute sessions are available.
