We know you have choices regarding where you send your patients for continued care and rehabilitation. Mettler has been providing physical therapy services for over 15 years and currently has a team of seven physical therapists, one occupational therapist specializing in hand therapy, and five massage therapists. As one of the only private physical therapy providers in the Champaign-Urbana area we’ve established a reputation of providing superior patient care and delivering exceptional outcomes at each of our locations.

Our therapists can provide a wide variety of treatment for your patients including our specialized treatment called MRT®. Treatments can benefit anyone who has a connective tissue problem, such as those due to scars, immobilization, radiation therapy, postural connective tissue adaptation, joint dysfunction, muscle spasms, trauma, chronic pain, women’s health issues, and neuromuscular conditions. Typically, people who have acute or chronic injuries that have not responded to other forms of physical therapy or medical treatments are good candidates for MRT®. Conditions such as whiplash, tendonitis, low back pain, groin injuries, swimmers shoulder, and carpal tunnel are commonly treated at Mettler with excellent long-term results.

FAQ

How long will my patient wait to be seen after my referral?

No more than 2 days. We try to get your patient in for treatment and evaluation the same day as your referral, if possible.

How do I refer a patient for physical therapy at Mettler?

Call the Mettler Center 217.356.6543 and ask to speak to Jeff Haskett, Patient Accounts Manager.

How will I know if my patient is progressing?

You will be given an update via fax as often as you wish, and at least every 4-6 weeks. You may call or email Mettler for periodic updates too.

If I am not sure about the best plan of care for my patient, can I refer them to you for a consultation?

Yes. We can evaluate the patient and discuss our findings with you to so we can mutually determine the best plan of care.

Do you accept and file insurance claims?

Yes, we do.

What kind of outcomes can patients expect to see?

Anecdotally, we’ve come to expect great patient satisfaction and clients willing to refer friends and family to us all the time. We are currently working on collecting data from each client with body-specific questionnaires at initial evaluation and at discharge. This data will then be used for outcome studies to concretely show what we’ve seen to be true – very positive outcomes.
